What I really wanted for Mother’s Day Letter

Ah, Mother’s Day.   A day for us all to turn our attention to mothers and celebrate who they are and what they do.   And a day for moms to truly focus on what it means to be a mother.

This Sunday, we understand you’re likely planning something big for the rest of us – something that accentuates your motherliness.   What better day to be fully engaged in being a mother (and all that entails) than Mother’s Day?!?    Are we right??  Of course we are.

You’re probably planning to cook a great meal, rearrange the furniture, clean, decorate, educate and fix things – all while wearing high heels and looking your best.   That’s not a bad plan.   But it feels kinda like any other day.   So this Mother’s Day, we’d like to help you out a bit by doing what we do best – telling you what we want!

We want to be entertained!!

Specifically, we’d like to see a fashion show.   On Sunday.

Time is tight, so you’ll need to act fast.  Tomorrow, you’ll need to rise early and leave the house (by yourself – you wouldn’t feel the full degree of fulfillment if we helped out too much), and not come back until you have exhausted (COMPLETELY) the contents of this envelope by purchasing new clothes.  Then we want you to put on a fashion show for us Sunday afternoon.

We’ll do the food stuff on Sunday, because well, we all know how easy that is.   You just focus on being the best mother you can be on Mother’s day by giving us what we want.   A fashion show.   Make it happen Mom.

Love,
The people who make you a mom.
