Popularity

Garett has some friends from his old program (HEART) that have transferred to the program for 3rd graders and up (CC). While at lunch, an old friend from HEART sat with Garett and some other boys. Apparently, he pulled out some items that he thought would make him popular with his new friends. Garett's observation about a boy trying to fit in? He says on the way home, "Well, I guess a bouncy ball and chocolates don't make you famous everywhere you go." The idea that an 8 year old thinks bouncy balls and chocolate might or might not make you "famous" is delightful to me!

Bath

Garett had a particularly good soccer practice. Lots of sweat. After his shower, he came to me and said, "Yep. That was a good shower. I washed more parts than normal."

Marissa was hungry after dinner and I told her she could have something...healthy. Tate decided to make her a spinach, cheese and cranberry salad. She ate it!
