We love making cinnamon rolls together!

Tate was all out of sorts because we sold our washer and dryer before the new ones arrived. He had to resort to washing his own clothes if he wanted his favorite jeans, shirt and underwear clean. He got it all washed and hung out and realized that it would be kind of embarrassing for someone to see his underwear outside. He had to run out and get it and bring it back inside to finish drying.

And the award goes to...

Tate participated in the Academic Bee at his school. He did so well! In each of the classes, they had a bee for that subject. After a day of bees, he qualified for the "Final" bee and won for his grade. I’m so proud of him! He won a $50 gift certificate to Barnes and Noble and a $50 donation will be given to Warm Blankets in him name. Go Tate!

Monster

Grandma Button sent the pattern to make a little doll. You get to pick the body, ears, arms and legs that you want on your doll. Picking out the body parts was pretty easy to decide on, but the kids struggled to find common ground with the fabric. Sooooooooo...... they each picked out fabric they liked and we incorporated it all. Floral ears and feet, St. Patrick's Day green on the arms and a pirate body. Hmmmm....he is pretty interesting!!! Thanks Grandma Button!

"Indian Stuf"

The Smithsonian had sent a note last year that said they would "investigate" whether the items he sent were authentic Indian artifacts. Tate has been waiting this year to hear back from them. He finally got his letter back, as well as the artifacts, the original letter and some "interoffice" post-its.

Goodnight

Dad came home late one night and decided to wake up the kids to say goodnight to them. Marissa lasted for a couple minutes until dad told her to go to bed and she went to sleep in the bathroom. So, they just ended up snuggling for a few minutes until he carried her to bed.
