Button Bistro Christmas Menu 2011
Starters: Temper those hunger pangs with these tasty delights!
o Smashed Pea and Barley Soup – chef Kevin highly recommends this hearty yet low fat (is that even possible??) flavor packed concoction of goodness. Made from scratch.
o Potato Skins – simple you say? Beg pardon? Over 2 hours were invested in these perfectly prepared potato skins. Tie your shoes tight, else they’ll knock your socks off!
Main Course: Now that you’re warmed up, it’s time to dig into the meat of the menu
o Filet Mignon – How do you like your meat prepared? It doesn’t matter; you’ll take it medium!
o Pantry Shrimp Delight – Having just raided the pantry for spices and participated in the preparation, you know all too well just what this is!
o Surf and Turf: Pantry shrimp and Filet. Together. Same meal. Same plate. Yup.
o Vegetarian Option – soup & sides. When it’s this good, cows & crustaceans need not appear on your plate!
Sides: Variety is the spice of life – mix in a bite or two of these delicacies between mouthfuls of main dish!
o Sautéed Green Beans – Spicy!
o Sweet Potato Soufflé- Sweet! Your mother’s creation.
o Broccoli Casserole – What you get when healthy mates with unhealthy! Let’s just say, they should do that more often!
o Homemade Cranberries- A “berry” delicious source of Vitamin C!
Beverage: Wet your whistle with one of the following:
o Beer in a Bottle – of the Goose Island Root variety. It’ll make you boogie.
o Sparkling Winter Delight – Ummm, VERY similar to 7-up.
o Melted snow from the North Pole – free refills on this one, folks.
Dessert: You can’t be serious. Really? Did you see the menu options above? Have you not had your fill of sweets this week, this morning, this afternoon? Oh, you practiced self-control? You didn’t have too much already? You still have room? Well, in that case, you can order the SWEET SURPRISE!
