Mind over Matter

Neatest exhibit ever at the museum! The more relaxed your mind, the greater your ability to move this marble across the table. A headband measured the state of rest of your mind which in turn triggered the movement of the marble. Tate was a little more at rest here, and he won.

Museum of Science and Industry

We were being storm chasers in this interactive museum exhibit.

Science Fair

So proud of Tate! He worked very hard on his science project this year. He studied how surfactants affect inherently flame resistant materials. He worked closely with a tech assistant from Globe Manufacturing in New Hampshire and interviewed a fireman and did lots of research online. He had great data and excellent presentation skills. He won second place in his grade at the science fair. He lost first place by 5 points because the "wind" affected the outcome of his results (setting material on fire outside)!

Sicky-doos

It doesn't happen often, but when it does- she is sick! This virus took Tooks out for about a week. Isn't she cute, even when she is sick?!

Squash

I made squash for dinner.

Tate had strong feelings on the matter.

"Squash is God's punishment for vegetarians," he said.

Honk

I got really excited about something Tate did. I don't even remember what it was.

But he was excited that I was excited,

He said, "Well, Mom. Did that just honk your diddly squat?"

I have no idea what that means. I don't think he does either. But it was hilarious!

Yodeling

Garett was wondering out loud what I did on Mondays when he was gone to CC. He thinks he has me all figured out. He said he knew that I just sat around and yodeled. He said I probably pretended to fold the laundry, but mostly, I just yodeled when the kids were out of the house.

Looming

Garett wants pancakes tomorrow morning for his breakfast. He put the mix on my headboard so it would be "looming" over me until I got up and made it for him tomorrow!
