Thakerchief
This is our third year at the Annual Christmas Craft Faire at our Homeschool Group. We embroidered some cloth napkins with the word "thankerchief" on them. Then, we decorated our table like a Thanksgiving or Christmas table. The kids showed our "customers" how to play "thankerchief" at Thanksgiving. While you pass the napkin, you say "thankerchief, thankerchief, round you go. Where you'll stop, nobody knows. But when you do, someone must say- What they are thankful for this day!" When the thankerchief lands in your hands, you have to say what you are thankful for. They had some good sales, enough to buy each other presents from other vendors. Tate was the most amazing salesman! We were cracking up at how motivated he was by sales.
Matching
Tate wanted to dress up the same as Garett. He painstakingly laid out their clothes the night before so that every last detail of their clothing would match. Garett was a good sport. These boys love each other. It is so cool!

Tooky Dooks
First, you have to know that we call Marissa "Tookles"; sometimes we call her Tooky Dooks. I was about to give her a reading lesson when she ran away and hid under a desk. When I called her to return, I heard her cry out, "Tooky Dooks is not available." It did not help her to get out of her lesson, but it did make me laugh (and I think this may be the first time she's referred to herself in the 3rd person)!
UK vs. Vanderbilt football game 2009
Tate's favorite part of going to a UK football game? Collecting all the cups that have been left behind. And no. He did not contract H1N1 this year. And no. We don't actually drink from these cups. They become bowling pins at home.

Marissa and I were able to stack this tower without any major earthquakes (the boys) making it crumble.

Chicago Botanic Garden
When you forget to take your camera into the Botanic Garden with you, you can at least take a picture of the sign to prove you have been there!
