Puppy Love

Marissa decided to give her puppy a bath. This required a little hair drying.

Conservation

I challenged the kids to conserve electricity. Our electric bill last month was $114. I told them that if our bill was lower this month, they could have the difference. Garett followed me from room to room turning off any lights he deemed unnecessary. This was really tricky during cooking hours because he felt that I should be able to prepare dinner in the dark. Tate reminded everyone to keep the t.v. turned off. He even wrote out a sign that commanded our family to keep the t.v. off!

Pumpkin Carving

The best pumpkin carving we've ever done did not involve any carving at all. The kids had a blast decorating their own pumpkins with candy. It was a great way to get rid of all the old candy before ushering in all the new Halloween candy!

Burrs

The funnest 2 hours of the fall. Marissa was playing hide-n-go-seek with our neighbor. She ran under a plant to hide and came home with about 100 burrs at the crown of her head. Oh the fun we had getting them out. Thank goodness for Butterscotch the Pony and Tinkerbell (the movie)!

Marissa's 6th Birthday

Marissa started the day with breakfast in bed, which all 3 of them love. After church, we opened presents and had her family birthday party. She has been wanting "Butterscotch". He is a little pony that she can sit on and pretend to ride. He responds to light, touch and voice. He is actually quite amazing! For her birthday dinner, she wanted spaghetti, mashed potatoes and peas, cauliflower and toast with jam. Isn't that an interesting assortment of food? She got a pink cake and she loves to decorate it herself. She decorated it with a horse and jockey. She is one-of-a-kind.
